Our cluster schools are proud to be part of an ongoing research project in partnership with Manaiakalani Outreach and the University of Auckland’s Woolf Fisher Research Centre. This research aims to evaluate the impact of our programme on student achievement and engagement — and so far, the results are promising.
Previous studies released by Manaiakalani show significant gains in educational outcomes. You can explore the findings and learn more. here.
Ako Hiko Education Trust supports digital equity by making 200–300 Acer Chromebook Bundles available to families in our cluster schools each year. These devices are allocated to students in digital classrooms.
Families can choose to purchase a bundle outright or through an affordable hire-purchase style contract, with a range of payment options to suit different needs. This initiative ensures all learners have access to high-quality digital tools for their education.
Providing devices is only one part of the equation — empowering teachers to use them effectively is just as important. Ako Hiko Education Trust is committed to ongoing investment in professional learning and programme development.
Our support includes:
Guidance for teachers new to 1:1 digital classrooms
Ongoing professional learning opportunities tailored to school needs
Development and sharing of effective digital teaching resources
Opportunities for collaboration and reflective practice
Support for innovative, future-focused pedagogy
